| The music which
accompanies the exhibition takes the form of a medley which I have drawn
exclusively from the works of twentieth-century composers. The sequence
they follow, with its contrasts and chaotic disorder, creates a maze of
paths leading off in all directions, which I intended should prompt an
inquiring survey of large - apparently dissimilar - ensembles, which were
nonetheless familiar and dear to both Yiannis Papaioannou and myself.
