DIONE KEFALAS
Dioni Kefalas is Greek artist from Egypt, from a Greek father and a Scottish mother, also a painter (Mona Boyd) and a sculptor grandfather (Donald Boyd), who in 1935 was teaching at the Glasgow School of Fine Arts. She was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt and lived for many years in Scotland, London, Paris. Now she lives permanently in Greece and works in her workshop in Laconia. She has taken part in individual and group exhibitions in England, France and Greece. Her designs, with a special technique, have motifs inspired by nature. Her works are in private collections and in the exhibition of the Benaki Museum.
